The Value of a
Paying Life Membership Endowment
Here it is agin, huntin’ season.
That time of year we ole mutts and you handlers look forward to so much. This being my thirteenth huntin’ season, I kinda got to thinken ‘bout how life’s been and all. Kinda sad in a way, but then happy, too.
Reckon I’ve bin pretty fortunate overall. I wuz born into a NAVHDA home with both my mom and dad being NAVHDA qualified, and that gave me a good start. Then I wuz bought by a dude who wuz active in NAVHDA and loved to hunt. Can’t get much better than that. Early on, I wuz trained, tested, and trialed, but it wuz all for huntin’. And I’ve bin on some neat hunts. That’s all the happy part.

Thinkin’ of the younguns
What if I’d been jest a plain ole yard dawg and my owner didn’t do no huntin’? That wudda been real sad. Too many dawgs go thru life that way, you know, and probably more will as time goes on.
Speakin’ of gittin’ old and all, I kinda got on my handler the other day. He’s gittin old too, ya know, so I ast him why he got one of those NAVHDA Life Membership Endowments. “You ain’t nere gonna get your money’s worth outta that,” I told him, “cauz you ain’t gonna live long enuff.”
Then he lays a really heavy load on me. He tells me he got it for me and my grand-kids and great-grand-kids, and all those younguns way out in the future. “Whatta ya mean?” I ast him, “That don’t make no sense.”
He went on to tell me that by being a Life Member he don’t hafta pay dues ever again (and he tells me he plans on sticking around for a lot more years.) “But that don’t mean nothin’,” he tells me. After he’s long gone, NAVHDA will still be gittin interest off his Life Membership Emdowment fee, so it actually helps ensure NAVHDA’s future. With all the anti-huntin’ stuff out there these days, and with so many younguns coming up without a clue as to what huntin’s all about, his Life Membership can help keep things going. By keeping NAVHDA sound, there’ll always be someone to speak up on the part of hunters; and someone to give a young pup like me a good home and a chance to do what I wuz bred to do.

Gettin’ back to huntin’
Ya know, the Life Membership Endowment really is an inexpensive way to give back something that will keep on giving forever. And with the Paying Life Membership Endowment, you don’t hafta shell out the $1,000 bucks all at once. Think bout it. If enuff of ya’ll sign up, I can git my mind back on huntin’. And that’s important at my age since I can’t keep up with the younguns anymore. I haf to use my few remaining brain cells to outwit them.

Editors Note: Don’t just renew your membership, invest in a Paying Life Membership Endowment with a down payment of $175.00 and only 11 additional quarterly payments of $75.00. Fill out the Membership Application and send it in. That’s all it takes!
