Litter Registration Instructions and Forms

Use these applications to register a litter of puppies born from a NAVHDA registered female that was mated to a male of the same breed registered with NAVHDA or a NAVHDA recognized registry. NAVHDA registration policy may be viewed on our web site at www.navhda.org. Dams not registered with NAVHDA: Complete a Single Dog Registration Form. If Dam was leased at the time of mating, you must submit a Leased Dam notification. For Artificial Insemination Litters use one of the forms listed below: Certification of Breeding Using Fresh Semen Certification of Breeding Using Fresh Extended Semen Affidavit of Breeding Using Frozen or Chilled Semen Effective for litters whelped on or after January 1, 2005, every sire producing seven or more litters in his lifetime or producing more than three litters in a calendar year must be DNA certified through NAVHDA, AKC, or Field Dog Stud Book. These DNA profiles will be used for genetic identification. For Multiple-Sired Litters contact the NAVHDA office for instructions. DNA certification will be required.
