Volunteer for NAVHDA outside of your Chapter(s):
We are creating a pool of highly experienced and dedicated NAVHDA members throughout the U.S. and Canada who are willing to Volunteer for NAVHDA International. People may be assigned immediately or in the future depending on areas of specialty and the need for help. Qualified individuals may be assigned as Mentors, Regional Representatives, and Committee members.
There is a wealth of experience, knowledge and willingness to help others throughout the membership, and that is the lifeblood of this all-volunteer organization. We are developing methods for sharing across the membership and chapter system. We appreciate all who are willing to share and help others!
- MENTORS will directly consult individually with members or chapter officials on solving problems in specific areas of focus. Scroll down for more information about finding a Mentor or signing up to be one.
- REGIONAL REPRESENTATIVES act as a key communication link between Chapters and NAVHDA International.
- COMMITTEES are actively utilized by the Executive Council to better explore how to improve, develop, and foster NAVHDA.
- FORUMS have been created to allow individual members to share ideas and best practices directly with each other.

Chapter & Member Mentor Program:
The role of Mentors is to act as resources for any NAVHDA member or NAVHDA chapter to contact. These mentors can provide input on chapter and training day organization, organizing and preparing for NAVHDA tests, best practices for chapter development and success, where and when to buy and keep training birds, creative ways to find new training property, etc. While we anticipate that these mentors will be most helpful to new or recently established chapters, it’s always a good idea for even long-established chapters to gain an understanding for how things operate elsewhere.
